I have just got a CBR 600 track bike. It is a 95. What other years are the same as this model?
I would like to know what spares I can use from other years.
the 95 model was the start fo the F3 series though almost all of the F2 series 91-94 will fit it. there are some differences though, speedometer, rear rim size, carburator, rear suspension, air intake, ECU, forks, front brake system are some of the differences. the F3 was a slight improvement over the F2, but it's pretty much the same bike. just don't buy f2 carbs or air intake parts because they are different. also the 97-98 f3 had a different tail piece design. the 95-96 had the same tail piece design as the 91-94 f2. all the f2 bodywork is the same design, the f3's all shared the same bodywork except the tail section. the f3 didn't have a speedometer cable coming from the front fork, the f2 did. the frame is the same. the f2's radiator is different from the f3. good luck.
also, the f2 forks are not adjustable, the f3 does have some adjustability. the f3's also had a remote reservoir for the rear shock, the f2 didn't. do not attempt to use an f3 dash for an f2 motor unless you're willing to sacrifice indicated road speed on the f3 dash.
tip: when it comes time to change out the cam chain tensioner, opt for a manual tensioner. the stock ones suck ass bad!!! the manual ones are about the same price as the OEM ones too and should last a whole lot longer.
